Pingel Power-Flo Petcock

Like many other parts for the XN85, the fuel petcock and seals are unique in design and no longer available from Suzuki. If yours is damaged or leaking there are really no alternatives other than replacing the whole assembly from the aftermarket. From the GSRESOURCES website I learned about a petcock by a company called Pingel. Seems they make petcocks to fit most every bike made. Not only do they make several different styles but they also have the adapter plates to match the tank mounting bolts. They also claim to provide more fuel flow than the original and it looks like a pretty high quality piece. When I first looked in to this I thought I would have some difficulty because the original has two separate fuel circuits, One supplies gas from the tank to the fuel pump, the second flows from the pressure regulator back to the tank. Then I realized that all I needed for the second circuit was a way to prevent it from leaking when the tank was removed. This I accomplished with a Quick Disconnect from Motion Pro. The Quick Disconnect is a neat little valve that mounts into a fuel line. When it's connected, fuel flows freely. When you disconnect it, flow stops. Take a look at my pictures to see it all assembled. Installation was straightforward and clear instructions are included with the items. It is necessary to do a little filing to slightly enlarge the fuel tank outlet for the petcock screen and it's important to mount the disconnect in the proper direction. Expect to pay about $100.00 for everything. Only other thing you may need to buy is some teflon tape.
